University of Oslo payment processing in cooperation with Netaxept

Web payment at the University of Oslo

The University of Oslo web payment processing system supports conferences and other activities where participants must pay to take part.

Our payment processing partner Netaxept

The University of Oslo uses Netaxept as our web payment processing partner.

Sensitive credit card information is only entered into Netaxept web pages, and is never seen by the University of Oslo (card number, expiry date and CVC2 codes).

Steps in the payment process

STEP 1 Entering customer information (University of Oslo web page)

Please provide the necessary information about yourself.

The information may already be on the webpage when you first see it.
If so, please review the information for correctness.

STEP 2 Selecting items for your order (University of Oslo web page)

For each available item, please select the number of items you would like to pay for.
At least one item must be selected for the order to be valid.

STEP 3 Select payment method and provide credit card details (Netaxept web page)

Allows you to select credit card type (VISA or MasterCard/EuroCard) and provide credit card number and expiration. The CVC2 code consists of the last 3 digits of the number printed inside the signature field on the back of your credit card.

With some browsers, you may see extra fields for invalid payment methods (invoice, age and cellphone fields).
Please disregard these fields. The relevant sections are the payment method dropdown and the credit card number, expiration date and CVC2 fields.

If Netaxept does not consider your email address (or your postal address) valid, they may ask you to log in or register as a new customer.

If this happens, and this is your first experience with Netaxept, please register as a customer with Netaxept. Afterwards, you will be able to complete your order.

If this happens, and you have purchased something through Netaxept before, please proceed to log in. Afterwards, you will be able to complete your order.

STEP 4 Order confirmation (University of Oslo web page):

After completing your payment, you will see an order confirmation page with your order id.
Please print a copy of this page for your records.
You will also receive a confirmation email with your order details.

If this was your first purchase with Netaxept, you will also receive an email from Netaxept.

Troubleshooting

Unable to select payment method

If you are not able to select payment method on the page titled 'Choose delivery and payment method' on the Netaxept site, or nothing happens when you select payment method, please click on the 'HTML version' button at bottom of the same page. This may happen if JavaScript is disabled in your browser, or there is a version mismatch.

The transaction takes more than 10 minutes

If you have to wait for more than 10 minutes for Netaxept to process the transaction, close your browser and try another browser. There has been some problems with Netscape browsers version 4.7 and older.
