Many of our students have completed part of their studies at a foreign academic institution. Currently a significant number of our students travel abroad, and there are foreign exchange students at our faculty. Outside Nordplus/ Erasmus exchange takes place through bilateral agreements between the institutions of higher education. Bilateral agreements do not give a right to extra scholarship for students.Exchange students are admitted within exchange programmes and bilateral agreements between Sør-Trøndelag University College and an international partner institution. Exchange students are selected by their home university, in cooperation with the corresponding/ collaborating programme at Sør-Trøndelag University College. This includes exchange all exchanges, including project work, field placements and theoretical studies.

Want to learn Norwegian?

Language course at Sør-Trøndelag University College - a beginners course
Every semester the university college has Norwegian language classes for international students. You learn some basic Norwegian, something about Norwegian culture and way of life and it will also include a few excursions (museum, theatre). This course does not give you any credits and is not compulsory. For those of you who have some prior knowledge of Norwegian, this is not the course to take you much further in your language training. It might be fun, though, and gives you the chance to meet other international students than the business students.

Summer courses at NTNU:
Norwegian is not a very widely spoken language, and is supported by the European Commission in the framework of the EILC programme (for ERASMUS students only). Please contact your International Office for additional application forms.

NTNU (The Norwegian University of Science and Technology) in Trondheim is arranging intensive summer courses in Norwegian for exchange students. The course lasts for 3 or 4 weeks. Information about this programme you will find on the following address: www.ntnu.no/english/. You will find the information under "Studies" and then "Language courses".
