Student exchange

The Faculty of Health Education and Social Work (Avdeling for helse- og sosialfag/ AHS) is one of the largest of its kind in Norway. The faculty is located in Trondheim, the third largest city in the country. There are approximately 120 employees and more than 1500 students at the faculty. The Faculty is a part of Sør-Trøndelag University College (HiST), which has 7 faculties.
The faculty consists of seven programmes, offering a number of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the health and social services. There are also significant activities within research and development at the faculty. A recent reform has introduced the international bachelor and master degrees into the Norwegian system of higher education. Sør-Trøndelag University College offers a wide range of bachelor degrees. A few master degrees are offered. Our programmes are vocationally oriented, thus most of our students get a job soon after finishing their studies at the faculty.
