E-mail for students
Telemark University College (HiT) offers a reliable e-mail service with advanced virus- og spam protection for our students. All E-mail from the college to our students will be sent to the email adresses at our e-mail-service @student.hit.no.
Be sure that you receive all e-mail from the college
Computers on the Internet are often infected by virus and the Internet is often flooded by spam, which may cause problems with e-mail services and loss of e-mail and other data. Some messages sent to private e-mail adresses will get lost, and the college will not be notified. To be sure that messages from the college will reach the students mailboxes, the college will as a rule only sent e-mail to the students e-mail-adresses at HiT. Students should only register e-mail adresses on the form studentnr@student.hit.no in Arena and Classfronter.
Your e-mail adress
Your e-mail adress at Telemark University College has the form studentnr@student.hit.no, student number consist of 6 digits.
You may find the adress of other students by using the adress book in the mail system.
Username and password
To get access to the computer services you must have a user name and a password. Your user name is your 6 digits student number. By filling in the user activating service and accept the rules, you will get a password that also will give you access to Arena and Classfronter.
Web-mail
You may access the e-mail service at the Internet adress https://studpost.hit.no/. The web e-mail client IMP offers you the services you expect to find in an e-mail service. The service and the klient is in the same location, which make the e-mail system very reliable.
E-mail in Classfronter
You may also use e-mail from Classfronter, where you also may connect to other vendors og e-mail services. (Ask the suppliers of your other e-mail services for details). E-mail in Classfronter is integrated with contact lists (class lists et cetera), and you may copy e-mails directly to catalogs in Classfronter.
