The grading system
The Norwegian grading system is based on a scale ranging from A to F. A is the highest grade, E the lowest passing grade. F means "Fail". In some cases a "Pass/Fail" grade mark may be issued. At the Telemark University College the grade mark "Pass" is awarded for evaluations which are equivalent to the grade E or bettert, according to the TUC Examination Regulations, § 11. At the Faculty of Technology most courses will have the full graded A - F grading system. If the "Pass/Fail" grade marks are applicable, this will be announced in the Course Description for each individual course.
