The mission of CorTechs is to develop technologies for better diagnosis of brain disease through automated analysis of medical imaging data. Current clinical practice relies upon subjective viewing of MR images to diagnoses neurodegenerative disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer and other important brain diseases. Although Radiologists and Neurologists are experts in this diagnostic process, very few quantitative tools have been commercially available to accurately quantify, measure and track these brain diseases over time.
Our participation in MI Lab presents a unique opportunity for combining and integrating advanced technologies for acquisition, analysis, and visualization, of data from different imaging modalities. In particular MI lab brings together a partnership of academic, industrial, and government healthcare agencies, which is uniquely positioned to bring these technologies to bear on important clinical problems.
