How do I pay the fee?
The fee must, at the latest, be paid at the same time as submitting the application. In Norway, the application form must be submitted to the nearest police station, and abroad it is submitted to the Norwegian embassy or foreign service mission.
The fee can be paid in person in cash or with a payment card. In Norway you can also pay into a police account in advance. If you live in Oslo, you can pay into account number 7694 05 10755. If you do not live in Oslo, you must contact the local police to find out which account number you should use. You will find contact information for the police in other parts of the country on the police website.
If you pay in advance, you must show the original receipt when you submit your application to the police. If you submit the application by post, you must send the receipt with your application. Applications submitted directly to the Directorate of Immigration, without the fee being paid, will be returned to the applicant. The same applies if the amount paid was too low.
