Residence permit where practical obstacles makes return impossible
A proposal for change in the Immigration Regulation has been sent today for hearing by the The Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion (AID). The proposal is to clearify the conditions necessary to grant residence permit to foreigners when it is not possible to return such persons to their respective countries.
The change makes it clearer that, asylum seekers who have previously applied and have received a final rejection but have contributed in clearifying their identity making it possible for them to be returned, can be granted resident permit in Norway based on certain conditions.
