In your information envelope you will find the form ‘Notification to the National Registry (NR) of move to Norway from abroad’, and by submitting this form you notify the National Registry and apply for a Norwegian ID-number. The form must be handed in to the local National Registry Office in Bergen called ‘Folkeregisteret/Skattetaten’. When you hand in the form, the required documentation is:

The Norwegian ID number - when issued - must be communicated online to the Division of Student Affairs. Read more information about the online form at the webpage for Notification of name changes and/or Norwegian ID-number.
