International PhD students/researcher that have been granted a student residence permit by UDI (Directorate of Immigration) can register and be given student status at the University of Bergen provided that they submit the following documentation:

• Letter of approval of residence permit from the UDI.
• Admission letter to the University of Bergen

Please note that all students at the University of Bergen must complete their semester registration at the StudentWeb and pay the semester fee every semester.

The semester fee invoice will not be automatically generated for PhD. student. You must therefore send an e-mail to studentconfirmation@uib.no in order to obtain it.
