VD, the Research Computing Services group at USIT, University of Oslo support researchers and scientists with computational resources and software portals, code parallelizing, optimizing, and general user support.

20080517 MEH> Scheduled downtime on TITAN 09:00-15:00 May 14 2008:
              The queuing system (SGE) and the parallel file system (GPFS) was upgraded.
              The switch (Cisco 6509) controller card was replaced, all DELL servers had
              firmware upgraded. The TITAN large servers (SUN 4600) was configured with
              faster /work(striped over SATAblades). InfiniBand cables was connected to
              one rack of compute nodes and 96 new blade based nodes. NorStore servers
              was connected to storage devices (ST6540) and to the 10Gbit ethernet.
