Server functions, information bases etc. (such as mail, ftp, fsp or www servers) that can be accessed from external equipment via external communication channels, are not to be made operative without prior and explicit permission from the University College IT Operations staff. It is not allowed to use such equipment commercially.
  7. The equipment should not be used for non-authorised storage or distribution of software.
  8. The users of the equipment should observe the rules pertaining to the use of the University College equipment.
  9. The person responsible for the equipment is also responsible for observing the rules.
  10. IT Operations personnel will have full access to equipment placed on University College premises and to its root/admin password in order to be able to inspect it and control that the use complies with the rules.
  11. IT Operations personnel may at any time (should there be suspicion of wrong configuration or misuse) and without prior notice disconnect the equipment from the University College’s network and, if needed, remove the equipment for further inspection.
  12. The permission to use private equipment is time-limited and for one semester at a time, i.e. lasting to June 31 and December 31 respectively.
  13. Violation of the rules will lead to immediate disconnection and suspension of the permission.

Please send the filled-in form to the faculty IT Operations department. A copy of the permission will be returned to the person responsible for the equipment.
