Anti virus for Windows

F-Secure Anti Virus is available for students and employees associated with NTNU. The program can be downloaded from Progdist, or you can come by the office of Orakeltjenesten and borrow a CD with the program. Note that your local IT support also might be able to lend you the program.

Keep your anti virus program updated.

In all anti-virus programs you can turn on automatic updates. This is recommended as it will keep your anti virus program up to date, and your computer protected against the newest viruses. F-Secure is by default set to download the latest signature files. If you want to do this manually you can right-click on the F-Secure symbol in the system tray (next to the clock), which looks like a large blue F shaped like a shield. Then choose Update virus definition databases.
