Overview

A digital learning resource for use in training for surveyors in the ship building industry. The surveyors encounter realistic audiovisual situations from the yard, and will be given alternative tracks of argumentation to follow in problem situations.Based on his choice he must formulate his verbal statements and document his arguments for it on his PC.

Aims

• The applicaton: Improve ability to judge and communicate with parties involved in ship newbuilding project, with the purpose to detect early warning triggers, avoid conflicts and / or find the best solution in critical situations.
• The research project: Evaluation of the application as a learning tool. To investigate a multi-linear narrative and achive students identification in the role play.

Methods

Developement of DVD-application. Video-observation of students working with the application, interviews and survey.
