About the EDIT project

The research project EDIT started in August 2001. The project was founded on a recognition of a need for research on English as a second language, the use of English in academia, and terminology research. The research in the project is based on language work; proof readings of English research-based texts and translations between English and Norwegian, with a special focus on texts related to research and the dissemination of academic knowledge.

One of the main activities of the project is the construction of a database of parallel, translated texts in Norwegian and English.
