MAIN SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS
I’m interested in optical properties of snow and sea-ice, covering in-situ field measurements, remote sensing and modeling. I’m also interested in how aerosols (in particular black carbon) affect the spectral signature of snow albedo.

•    Parameterization of snow and sea-ice albedo in ECHAM5 General Circulation Model (NFR, PhD project)
•    Climate effects of reducing black carbon emissions (NFR, Postdoc project)
•    Measurements of Black Carbon aerosols in Arctic snow - interpretation of effect on snow reflectance (NFR)
•    Forskningsprosjekt på biomembran som klimatiltak: Undersøkelser av bio-membran med hensyn på overflate-albedo og jordsmonn (NPI project leader)
