Women's Research Marathon

Since 1989 the University of Tromsø has organized a Women's Research Marathon biannually. Initially it was organized by the Network for Women in Research, since 1996 by KVINNFORSK. The "Kvinneforskermaraton" consists of a full day (12 hours minimum!) of popular mini-lectures where researchers at the University of Tromsø present their research to the general public. The last Women's Research Marathon was organized in September 2007; 39 women and men participated in this all day event - 10 minutes presentations by each one. The papers will usually be published electronically on our website.
