Gender Equality Award 2008
The University of Tromsø has an ambitious plan for Gender Equality. As a further follow-up of the so-called “rule of activity" in the Norwegian Gender Equality Act, the University Board in 2005 additionally demanded that all faculties and units developed local action plans for gender equality.
They open up for creative measures and already in 1995 the ”Gender Equality Award” was founded - to be given to a faculty, a department, an organization, a group, a specialist environment or a person encouraging the process of gender balance, possibly also on new arenas and in untraditional ways.
The award counts 25.000 NOK
Suggestions must be sent to KVINNFORSK within 20th Januar 2008.
