A course for students who wish to acquire some elementary mathematical knowledge for use in their main field of study. It may also be taken by students who lack the prerequisites for MAT-1001 Calculus 1 or MAT-1005 Discrete mathematics 1. Covers functions, limits, differentiation, integration, differential equations and multivariable calculus. The prerequisite is knowledge of mathematics equivalent to the second highest level, 2MX in Norwegian highschool. | Form of teaching
Lectures: 40 h Coursework: 30 h, a passing grade is requried on up to 6 mandatory homework sets for permission to take the exame. | Coursework requirements
