The first board meeting for NORMS took place in Tromsø yesterday. The members of the Scientific Advisory Board are Artemis Alexiadou (Universität Stuttgart), Frederick J. Newmeyer (University of Washington), and Luigi Rizzi (Università di Siena). In addition to the board members Susanna Sepponen from the NOS-HS secretariat and Peter Svenonius, Øystein Vangsnes, Carina Reinholtsen, and Ståle Berglund from NORMS/CASTL were present at the meeting. The main purpose of the meeting was to inform the board about the activity in NORMS. The SAB will give their advice on issues pertaining to NORMS both to the NCoE itself and to NOS-HS and NordForsk.

Today and tomorrow there is a NORMS workshop in Tromsø with papers presented by the various institutional leaders plus the three board members. The program and abstracts are available here.
