Projects under the ScanDiaSyn umbrella

Scandinavian Dialect Syntax (ScanDiaSyn) has a complex organizational structure, consisting of several subprojects with separate funding, and ScanDiaSyn may therefore more adequately be referred to as a project umbrella rather than as one single project. Within the umbrella common objectives have been and will be defined, and the various subprojects are either geared directly towards these goals or combine the common goals with own objectives.

On this page we give an overview of the various subprojects under the ScanDiaSyn umbrella that have received specific funding.

- ScanLex - an inter-Scandinavian lexicon (support from the Nordic Language Council in 2005)
- SweDiaSyn - Swedish Dialect Syntax (support from the Swedish Research Cuncil for 2005-2007)
- Variation in syntax (Icelandic and Faroese) (support from the Icelandic Research Centre for 2005-2007)
- Network for Scandinavian Dialect Syntax (support from NordForsk - Nordic Research Board for 2005-2007)
- Nordic Center of Excellence in Microcomparative Syntax (NORMS)(support from NOS-HS for 2005-2010)

NOS-HS also supports Scandinavian Dialect Syntax - ScanDiaSyn (i.e. the project umbrella) directly through a grant for 2005-2007.
