2. Course description
The one-year course in Social Studies is a interdisciplinary combination of subjects from Sociology, Social Anthropology and Political Science. This course of study is intended for students who wish to obtain a teaching competence in Social Studies at sixth-form college level.

This course of study is also intended for students who are doing their teacher training through a bachelor or master's degree in science subjects, language studies, History, Religious Studies or integrated lecturer training.

3. Competence objectives
This course of study offers a teaching competence in Social Science teaching at sixth-form college level. This competence is also relevant for teaching at secondary school level.

4. Admission qualifications
General academic competence.

5. Subject organization
This course of study is composed of subjects worth 10 or 20 points (ECTS credits) and is spread over two semesters, which may commence in either the Autumn or the Spring semester. It is a requirement that 20 points in Sociology, Social Anthropology or Political Science should be included in one of the following two alternative combinations:
