The Lecturer Education Programme in Language and Social Science is a complete master’s degree study programme. This means that you go through a 5 year programme leading to a master’s degree. The programme is administrated by the Humanities Faculty.
With the Lecturer Education in Language and Social Sciences you qualify to work as a lecturer in the school system after 5 years of study. This programme provides teaching competence in two subjects.
You can choose between different specialisation fields and complementary fields within language and social science. So long as you choose a language or a social science as a specialisation, you are allowed to take a subject from the natural sciences as a complementary subject.
The two last years practical pedagogic education is integrated in the higher degree courses. Finally you write a master’s thesis of 30 credits directed towards education in the discipline where you have your specialization.
