Student supervising
In addition to the more general supervising at NTNU, there is an academic counseling particularly for the electronics program. There are two teaching supervisors responsible for the main field of studies: Photonics and micro technology (FM), Circuit and system design (KS), signal processing and communication (SE/SK).
What can the supervisors offer?
The supervisors provide guidance and counseling in academically questions for both the new student and students at the higher level:
- Answering questions regarding the program and job opportunities in general.
- Supporting with the selection of courses in the field of study.
- Recommending a proposal of the schedule of courses during studies abroad for acceptance from the faculty
- Supporting students who have special needs and/or problems. For example a schedule for reduced progress.
There will be arranged briefing sessions about common interests. In addition, the students are free to contact the supervisors for individual guidance.
The supervisors are advisors to the faculty regard choosing subjects and other things regarding the student. The faculty is the formal decision-making authority.
How to contact the supervisor?
The best way to make contact to the supervisor is by sending an e-mail where you present yourself and ask for a meeting.
