Library regulations
The library services are mainly for students and employees at AUC. External users may be granted access, but will not be offered extended services such as "order a librarian" or drop-in courses.
To borrow library material you have to be registered in the Library. Contact the Librarians, and bring your ID.
You may borrow material directly from a librarian at the circulation desk or you can use our Self-check machine.
Lending periods
Books: 1 month
Curriculum literature: 2 weeks
Periodicals: 2 weeks
Videoes/DVDs: 2 weeks
Master's Dissertations: 1 month
Unless the item is reserved, you may renew the loan three times. This can be done via BibsysASK or you can ask a librarian. The library users are held responsible for any material they borrow. If the material is not returned within the set time, the library will send warnings - if the material is not returned after the third warning, a claim for compensation will be given. The compensation is set from fixed rates.
Claim of compensation
Books: NOK 500
Reports, booklets, småskrifter: NOK 300
Videoes/DVDs, periodicals or valuable books: The retail price plus NOK 150 in expenses.
