OPENING HOURS AND PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
Business Hours
Offices are normally open Monday to Friday from 08.00 until 15.45 (15.00 from May 15th till September 15th). Please note that staffs have flexi-time and may arrive or depart up to an hour around these times. Please respect the opening hours. Shops are open Monday – Friday from 10:00 – 20:00 (some are even open until 22:00). In weekends they close earlier, and in the city centre they don’t open until 10:00. Normally shops close between 15:00 and 18:00; some are even open until 20:00.
1st January: all shops are closed.
Easter – The Easter holiday is somewhere in between March and April, the dates change. It last from Thursday to Sunday. Normally all shops are closed, except on Saturday from 09.00 to 1200. A few gas stations are open throughout Easter.
Workers Day – 1st May: all shops closed.
National Day - 17th May: Norway celebrates its constitution.
Christmas – 24th December: all shops close at 12.00.
Christmas Day and Boxing Day - 25th and 26th December: all shops are closed.
New Year’s Eve – 31st December: shops close at 1300
