Research at NOVANOVA´s strategic position can be characterised as follows: "A research enviroment with emphasis on a broad-based social science approach combined with a life-course perspective." Research activity at NOVA is organized into three research groups: Norwegian Social Research conducts research of a good international standard and the institute is the leading national research institute on child welfare, youth, ageing and the elderly, and social security. NordForsk has awarded NOVA a Centre of Excellence in Welfare Research: Reassessing the Nordic Welfare Model, www.reassess.no. The left hand menu gives you more information about our research areas, you can also use the theme selector on the right hand side. For the moment NOVA has five Strategic Institute Programmes (SIPs): See also NOVA key figures and read more about the institute under About NOVA. Research news

 | | Well-being, control and ageing

The hypothesis is, however, not supported by the present findings from the Norwegian Life-Course, Ageing and Generation Study (NorLAG). | | 10.10.2007 | | [more] |
