Aim and Content
The course builds on PTEK212 and PTEK213. A field example is selected from Norwegian shelf and different recovery methods are discussed, conventional as well as unconventional.
Learning Outcomes
After the course PTEK313 the student will be able to:
- provide a brief geological and reservoir technical description of the selected field
- account for different recovery methods
- model a reservoir segment and run recovery profiles with the program Sword
- perform reservoir engineering calculations
- describe a possible IOR (Improved Oil Recovery) project and conduct studies of sensitivity and uncertainty including use of multivariate regression analysis and the program @Risk
- carry out a PVT simulation study using appropriate software including calculation of minimum miscibility pressure
Course offered (semester)
