Fairness and redistribution

Open lecture with Alexander W. Cappelen (Professor in economics and co-director of The Choice Lab at the Department of Economics, NHH Norwegian School of Economics).

We know that the support for redistribution differs across countries. Specifically, we know that governments in Europe typically support more redistribution than the government in the United States. The question Alexander W. Cappelen asks in this lecture is why the support for redistribution is different.

Alexander W. Cappelen is a Professor in economics and co-director of The Choice Lab at the Department of Economics, NHH Norwegian School of Economics. Cappelen has mainly focused on social choice theory, distributive justice, corporate governance and experimental economics in his research. He won Akademikerprisen in 2013.

The lecture is open to all!
