Modelling
Regarding modelling and computation, we have a large number of modern PC's, but base most simulations on a UNIX platform. In addition, we have access to and make use of the Norwegian National Computer Centre located at the university, which has three supercomputers.

We are active users of Matlab and have experience with most of the important toolboxes.

We have developed and used for more than 10 years an in-house CFD code for simulating the performance of multiphase chemical reactors. An improved version of this code is under development, including modules for bubble break-up and coalescence and having the advantage of employing stable and accurate numerical algorithms as well as being developed for utilising parallel super-computing. We license the commercial CFD codes PHOENICS and FLUENT.
