3-YEAR BACHELOR PROGRAMME IN PRODUCT DESIGN

The examination project requires the student to document knowledge, skills and awareness appropriate to a professional career in product design and related to bachelor degree level. During the project the student is required to demonstrate the expertise gained throughout the study in the development of a product to function with a given context. Decisions taken during the project document the student´s knowledge, skills and awareness within product design.

The student is required to carry out a complete product design project, including the project´s management. The student is responsible for making decisions at many levels. The student is responsible for decisions throughout, which are to be documented and commented. Decisions are expected to be logical and professional within the context of the product design project.

International exchange
International students can apply for exchange periods within the study programme subsequent to agreement of required level, duration and required subject areas and/or projects.

Assessment procedure

Course assessment - Subject areas in the first year are assessed to pass/fail. A pass is achieved by approved attendance and participation combined with satisfactory completion of course work.

Projects are assessed to pass/fail according to the project´s aims and criteria.

All subject areas and projects have to be completed to pass level in order to take the examination project.

Examination/final assessment - The examination project has a duration of twelve weeks at the end of the third year and is concluded with an oral examination.

Grading scale
The examination is assessed on a scale from A to F, where F is Fail.
