The academic year runs from the middle of August to the middle of June and consists of an autumn term and a spring term. Examination periods are at the end of each term (with a few exceptions). 

Autumn term: 

• Classes begin: Middle of August
• Final exams: December

Spring term: 

• Classes begin: First/ second week of January
• Final exams: May or early June (with a few exceptions)
