Bodø Graduate School of Business, in cooperation with the Department of Social Sciences at Bodø University College, the Department of Political Science at the University of Tromsø, and Nordland Research Institute, takes great pleasure in inviting you to the doctoral conference: New Public Management and Governance – New Organizational Form within Public Administration.
We are proud to announce the faculty for the conference:
Professor Odd Jarl Borch, Bodø Graduate School of Business
Professor Kerstin Sahlin-Andersson, University of Uppsala
Professor B. Guy Peters, University of Pittsburgh
Professor Jon Pierre, University of Gothenburg.
The conference will consist of both plenary and group sessions. In addition, the participants will present their work; each supervised by one of the professors. In these group sessions, ample time is reserved for feedback and discussion of individual papers. To prepare for these group sessions, the main respondent (professor) and fellow participants will receive the papers prior to the conference.
The conference language is English, and our preference is that papers/proposals are written in English as well – primarily to allow our English speaking faculty the opportunity to provide feedback. Participants are expected to turn in a paper/proposal prior to the conference (deadline April 20th). We prefer to receive complete papers, but in order to accommodate doctoral candidates, many in the early stages or their work, we will also accept shorter contributions. For these contributions, the candidate will further develop their papers after the conference, and submit a complete paper by September 1st. 2005. Participation at the conference, with an accepted paper, will be rewarded with 10 ECTS (Approval of the course pending). Additional practical information is provided below by following the link.
