The Studentsamskipnaden (Student Welfare Organisation) owns the student residences in which you most likely will be living during your study at Bodø University College. The organisation owns four student residences: Hammarlia, Høglimyra and Skavdalslia (all located close to the campus) and Flatvold (in the city centre). Altogether these student halls contain around 400 rooms.

The Samskipnaden takes pride in its student housing and maintains qualitative, clean, and comfortable accommodations. Living arrangements vary depending upon which residence you live in, but typically students have their own living quarters and bedroom, and share a kitchen and bathroom with at least one other student.

Prices range from 2500-2850 NOK per month. This price includes the cost of the room, electricity and other utilities. Cable television and an internet connection are provided free of charge. There are also laundry facilities and pay telephones throughout the building for a nominal charge. The international office provides silverware, dishes, pots, pans, kitchen utensils and bedding to international students for a small deposit which is returned at the end of the student's stay in Bodø.

Self-catering apartments are also available for students to rent. They are located within walking distance of the university. The Student Union has roughly 550 apartments to rent. Students should apply for accommodation here as early as possible because they are very popular.
