- The departments are to be active in getting students involved with the applicable HES measures
- The student representatives are to be allowed to present HES issues at the department and faculty level
- All waste material is to be handled in accordance with the regulations to secure the internal and external environment.
- Cooperation with the central HES Section for assistance from work-hygiene specialists, health personnel, physiotherapists, following up those on leaves of absence due to illness etc.
Principles for HES measures
Matters are to be resolved at the lowest level possible:
Those involved often know how best to resolve an HES-related problem. Often it is just a question of which measure to apply. Work environment matters are to be integrated as closely as possible and managed by those responsible for the primary activity. Systematic health, environment and safety work is a central managerial responsibility at al levels.
Involvement:
Active involvement of fellow staff and a clear division of responsibility and organization of HES measures are always required to achieve an optimal work environment. A work form that allows all to contribute with their particular skills and experience is to be used during the process of HES assessment and drawing up action plans.
Information:
When the work environment is to be developed, this is be done openly and with transparency. All staff are to be informed about how the work environment is to be assessed, what happens to the results, how suggestions about measures are to treated and what an HES action plan looks like. If a member of staff suggests something related to HES and the measure is not included in the action plan, it is important to notify that person about this and reasoning behind it.
