International Students at NTNU
Exchange students, Degree-seeking students
THE FOLLOWING RESOURCES and guides are intended the international students attending NTNU. Throughout these pages, and during your stay at NTNU, the following terms will be used:
«EXCHANGE STUDENTS»
are students coming from universities which NTNU has a formal exchange agreement with. These students are invited by NTNU for short periods of between 3 and 12 months. As they are enrolled at their home university they do not have to meet NTNU`s admission requirements (e.g., specified English language skills).
Students coming from universities with which NTNU does not have a formal exchange agreement, with are referred to as “Visiting students”. Leonardo da Vinci Traineeship students fall under this category.
«DEGREE-SEEKING STUDENTS»
are those students taking a degree at NTNU (Bachelor`s, Master`s, International Master`s, PhD, IFUS)
