    Fortran 90 xlf90 mpxlf90 xlf90_r mpxlf90_r .f
    Fortran 95 xlf95 mpxlf95 xlf95_r mpxlf95_r .f

  • The quickstart page lists some essential properties of the compilers.
  • Help for the compiler options can be found on the man-page ('man xlf').

    C xlc mpcc xlc_r mpcc_r .c

C++

  • IBM's native C++ compilers and scripts:
    language serial MPI OpenMP MPI thread-safe file suffix
    C++ xlC mpCC xlC_r mpCC_r .C

NOTE: The above compilers support automatic parallelization.

In addition, there are

  • Java, (java, javac)
  • GNU - The GNU Compiler Collection: (Version: egcs-1.1.1.)
    g77 - Fortran 77 compiler
    gcc - C compiler
    g++ - C++ compiler
    Documentation for these compilers can be found on the info pages. Type info in the shell, or give Emacs the command C-h i.
  • G95 - Open source Fortran 95 compiler from g95.org
    Install by issuing this command somewhere in your $PATH:
       ln -s /home/parallab/plab/avle/aix/g95-install/bin/powerpc-ibm-aix5.1.0.0-g95 g95

    g95 - Compile with this command, use the same optimization options as for gcc.

We also have the following languages installed.
