Applicants who are using the (Norwegian) Visa Portal for the first time must register as users. Existing users can simply log in. First time applicants must do the following:
- 'Register user' (select from the menu on the left hand side)
- 'Apply for a visa' (select from the menu on the left hand side)
- Follow the on-screen instructions to submit the application
Users will be guided through the application process. The information requested is the same as on the (previously used) application form for a Schengen Visa, such as personal details, details of close relatives, the intended journey, etc.
The current visa fee must be paid by debit / credit card before the application can be sent.
Applicants can also check the status of their applications on the Visa Portal.
Previously lodged applications will be stored on the user's profile and can be used as templates for subsequent applications.
