Content: The course will focus on the industrial application of industrial ecology and specifically addresses the design of products and services. Based on a life-cycle perspective, design and technology are integrated with other engineering, environmentally and socially relevant aspects of product design. The embedding of ecological design in existing business product development processes is explicitly addressed, addressing elements of environmental benchmarking, quality assurance, (end-of-life) legislation, supplier issues, in- and external value chain analysis and sales & marketing.
