Funding for “Mediatized Stories”
The Research Council of Norway has granted 4,4 mill NOK for the years 2006–2009 to a project on “Mediatized Stories. Mediation perspectives on digital storytelling among youth.” The project will explore how people - youth in particular - use self-representation in digital storytelling to shape and share their lives. The project will try to understand these processes through theories of mediation and mediatization across media studies and the field of education. The project will be coordinated by InterMedia. This is an international and interdisciplinary project with participants from six countries. The project brings together several departments at the University of Oslo. Project manager is professor Knut Lundby at InterMedia.
