"I had a Norwegian roommate at my home university, and my first trip to Norway was to visit her. I simply fell in love with Norway and came back for a summer school in Oslo. Now I'm back again as an exchange student in Bergen. It's a beautiful country. In Bergen you have the mountains right outside the door if you want to go hiking. The view from the top of the mountains is incredible. Even before I came to Bergen, I was in contact with my mentor by letter and e-mail. He picked me up when I arrived and guided me around. It was great to have someone to help you along the first few days! The residence is really great. It's just a couple of minutes walk from the School and it has a lot of facilities like an exercise room, a café and a lot more. You really don't need to go downtown at all." |

"The first week is very well organised. During the day, you receive all the information you need about the courses and the school. In the evenings and at weekends the international committee arranges parties and other social activities. The staff at the International Office is incredible. They really go out of their way to help with anything they can. If they are not able to help you, they always find someone who can." |
