Composition of the Learning Environment Committee
The University Board’s resolution stipulates the Learning Environment Committee shall have the following composition:
- Four student representatives with personal deputies appointed by the Student Board NSU Tromsø for a two-year period. To of the members’ terms follow the calendar year, while the other two follow the academic year.
- The Dean of one faculty appointed by the Rector for a two-year period.
- The Faculty Director of one faculty appointed by the University Director for a two-year period.
- One academic staff member with a university education appointed by the Rector for a two-year period.
- The Director of Research and Academic Affairs.
The Learning Environment Committee reports directly to the University Board and on June 1 each year shall report about the university’s work concerning the learning environment. The Department of Research and Academic Affairs and the Technical Department shall in collaboration perform the secretarial functions for the Learning Environment Committee. The committee elects a chairperson on an annual basis, alternating between the university’s and the students’ representatives.
