Ericsson Communication Assistant (ECA) is a Web-based tool designed to help you handle calls and search
phone directories. You can access your messages, setup personal numbers, intercept calls (i.e., follow me, divert calls,
message diversion), and use the call handling features of the PBX.
The features available to you depend on whether you have Ericsson Communication Assistant or Call Handling
licensing. Licenses reside on the D.N.A. Server and both license types are system wide and apply to all users. There are
no personal licenses.
The Ericsson Communication Assistant license contains the following features.
Basic functionality like logon, logoff, and administration
Directory Search
Messages
Personal Number
Message Diversion (under Intercept Calls)
The Call Handling license contains Call Handling and Diversion (Call Forward / Follow me) features. The hyperlinked phone number
can be clicked to dial if Call Handling license is granted. Otherwise, the phone number is displayed as text without a link.
In addition to license is granted or not, available features are also dependent upon logged on or not
and Extension Manager used or not.

When logged on, the following information is displayed on all Ericsson Communication Assistant pages at the top of the information area.

 Message Diversion

This icon indicates you have a message diversion set. Move the mouse pointer over the icon to see the detail message diversion information.
There are up to 8 different diversion icons supported. Refer to D.N.A. Directory Search Help for details.

 Messages
|
This icon indicates you have messages. You can view and delete your messages on the Messages page.

 Personal Profile
|
This icon indicates you have a currently active personal profile on your phone. The text next to the icon is the profile name.

Quick Dial /
Quick Search |
Quick Search is available at the top of each page for easy access. The Quick Dial function is also available if user is logged
on and Call Handling license is granted.
