VPN for .mac

This tutorial is on how to create a VPN connection either to log on to the wireless network at UMB, or to login at UMB to access internal resources.

1. Open Internet Connect.

2. Go to "File" and choose "New VPN Connection".

3. In the next window, choose "PPTP" and press "Continue".

4. Write in one of the following server address
- student.vpn.umb.no for access to UMBs internal resources.
- 10.0.180.1 for access to UMBs wireless network.
Write your username where it says "Account Name".

5. To save these settings, press "Other" and choose "Edit Configurations...". Give your connection a name, for example UMB-VPN or UMBwireless, and press "Save".

6. The next window will show an overview of your VPN connections. If everything is ok, press "OK".

7. Press "Connect".

8. Write your password to log on.
