VPN for Windows 2000

This tutorial is on how to create a VPN connection either to log on to the wireless network at UMB, or to login at UMB to access internal resources.

1. Click Start > settings > control Panel, and go to "Network and external connections”. Double-click on "Add a new network-connection".

2. Click "next"

3. Click "Connect to a private network through the Internet"

5. Chose "Don’t connect". Click "Next"

6. Write one of the following :
- student.vpn.umb.no for access to UMB-VPN
- 10.0.180.1 for access to wireless
and click "Next"

7. select ‘Only for myself’. Click the ‘Next’ button to continue.

8. Name the connection, for example. "VPN-UMB" click on “click the ‘Finish’ button.

9. Write in username and password and click "connect".
