The Student Counseling Office
The Student Counseling Office, administered by the Student Welfare Organisation, provides a free counseling service for Norwegian and foreign students on campus. Experienced professionals are available to help students cope with the personal and practical challenges of student life. Studying far from home in a foreign country can be particularly challenging. The Counselors for International Students are available to assist with matters concerning health, public services, economy, or any problem of a practical or personal nature that may arise during the international student's stay in Norway.
You may make an appointment with one of the counsellors by calling the secretary (77649050), or Catherine Cooke (77649056). You may also stop by during their "drop-in" hours on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 13.00-14.00.
The Student Counseling Office is located in the basement of the Faculty of Social Sciences. Regular office hours are from 10.00 - 15.00. The office is closed for lunch every day between 11.30-12.00.
