Norwegian identity-number The Norwegian identity-number will be provided by Tromsø Population Registry (Tromsø folkeregister) a few weeks after you have applied for residence (see under AID ). The number you receive at first when arriving in Tromsø is only a temporary number and will be invalid when you have the permanent number. Bring the letter from Tromsø Population Registry to the Department of Academic Affairs as soon as possible. When you have done that, you are expected to use the new ID and the old PIN when logging into the student web. NB! Bring the new ID-number to the Department of Academic Affairs as soon as possible!
